Why Cartoons?
You may be wondering why this program uses cartoons to explore emotions. The answer is simple: our brains often recognize pictures faster than words. A playful cartoon can make it easier to identify what we're feeling without becoming overwhelmed.
These illustrations aren't meant to be childish — they just make learning more approachable.

Who Created This Program?
The Regulation Station was created by Anne Kubitsky, creator of Look for the Good Project, Inc. and owner of Activate Your Strength, LLC. For fifteen years, Anne has helped hundreds of thousands of children learn friendship and community-care skills through her school-based programs, books, and educational resources.
Anne is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, or mental health professional and the Regulation Station is not therapy. Instead, it is an educational program that combines emotion literacy and nervous system regulation tools inspired by research in psychology, post-traumatic growth, resilience, and human development.
The goal is simple: to help people better understand themselves so they can build healthier relationships and become better friends and neighbors.
