Befriend Your Nervous System
Emotional strength isn't about eliminating difficult feelings. It's about expanding our capacity to experience mixed emotions — like fear and hope, sadness and gratitude, or frustration and compassion — without losing our ability to make caring choices.
Drawing on concepts compatible with Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Polyvagal Theory, this playful, science-informed workshop explores how emotions and nervous-system states influence one another. Participants discover how to recognize their internal signals, practice regulation, and build nervous system flexibility.
This experience helps participants:
-
Reframe their emotions by recognizing that different feelings can coexist and offer valuable information.
-
Expand emotional capacity by practicing ways to stay grounded, connected, and responsive, even when emotions are complicated.
-
Strengthen a culture of care by developing greater understanding, patience, and compassion for themselves and others.
