Participants leave with tools they can use immediately, along with access to Anne's online resource library to continue learning and practicing long after the workshop ends.

THESE ONLINE RESOURCES ARE

Rooted in a Lifetime of Learning & Healing

As the daughter of a war refugee, Anne grew up learning about the human capacity to heal, grow, and find meaningful moments after hardship. Those early lessons shaped a lifelong exploration of what helps people stay connected and caring through difficult times.

Over the past twenty-five years, Anne has deepened her understanding through the study of biology, philosophy, art, psychology, eastern and western religions, and her work on her nonprofit, Look for the Good Project.

Be the Friend You Need brings these lessons together through practical tools, original audio reflections, and exercises adapted from Anne's illustrated books.

Meet Anne Kubitsky

Public Artist • Author & Illustrator • Educator

Anne Kubitsky is the creator of Activate Your Strength, LLC and the Founder of Look for the Good Project, a nonprofit that has reached more than 700,000 children in almost 50 states through gratitude, kindness, and community-care programming.

Anne's work began more than 15 years ago with a simple question: What makes you grateful? What started as a participatory public-art project grew into a nationwide movement, inspiring school programs and community experiences that help people recognize the good in themselves, one another, and the world around them.

Anne has authored and illustrated 30 books, including educational resources she has contributed to Look for the Good Project. Starting in 2014, Anne helped popularize her trademarked terms "Look for the Good" and "You Matter", and in 2015, the City of Hartford, Connecticut, honored her work with an official “Look for the Good Day Day” proclamation on April 19th.

Guided by Fred Rogers’ call to “look for the helpers," former MTV News and Facebook executive Benjamin Wagner (Mister Rogers & Me) explores how chronic stress and trauma shape American life, weaving his own story with those of experts and neighbors to reveal how healing and connection remain possible even in the most anxious communities.

In Friends & Neighbors, Wagner tells an intimate yet widely shared story, tracing his own journey through a high-pressure career, personal loss, and recovery while connecting these experiences to the deeper ways stress and trauma shape the body, the brain, and our relationships.
